KiaXpress Lube Service Campaign ~ 2010

on 23 May 2010 ~ 12 Comments

Naza Kia Services Sdn Bhd (NKSSB) will be having a KiaXpress Lube Service Campaign which offers up to 50% in discounts for servicing charges at all 17 NKSSB outlets and participating dealers. NKSSB will also complete all servicing work within 30 minutes and provide customers with a free 18-point check throughout the campaign period, which is from now till June 30, 2010.

Discounts apply to charges for engine oil, oil filter, drain plug washer and labour. Petronas lubricants will be used, from the Mach 5 mineral oil to semi-synthetic Syntium-800 and fully synthetic Syntium-3000. The diesel-powered Sorento and Pregio will be offered Petronas’ Urania Supremo CJ-4 oil.

Picanto owners using mineral oil will be charged RM85.70, which translates to a 50% discount from pre-campaign prices. Similarly, Forte owners pay RM203.70 for a service using fully synthetic oil, which is actually quite reasonable. Other models eligible for discounts are the Suria, Rio, Spectra, Citra, Sportage, Carens, Rondo, Optima, Ria, Sorento and Pregio. Of course, servicing costs vary depending on a vehicle’s mileage.

even honda SC recommends mineral oil due to frequency of service.

There’s nothing wrong with mineral oil. I guess its for people who don’t want to spend that much.

@lchan : Mineral oil is there for a reason. It’s just an option, or rather an exhaustive list of what owners could possibly ask for during the service campaign. Why are you so hyped up about mineral oil anyway? :)

what kind of dealer/manufacturer what-ever you wanna call Naza as allows Kia owners to choose the option of using mineral oil? You mean you can still get warranty using mineral oil while maintening service milage?

If using mineral oil reduces recommended service milage there what is the point of introducing mineral oil. Also, where then does Naza stand in view of environment responsibilities??

Not sure how it will goes for discount. The time I went for service was free labour and total cost was around RM223 (fully synthetic oil).

RM200+ before discount I believe those are for mineral engine oil. For fully synthetic oil, 4 litres should cost around RM180++. Including the labour and engine oil filter and stuff, the price could easily exceeds RM200.

up to 50% discount on labour only or what? confused…

I own a Forte, the RM200+ is before discount.

Paul, you said “How much will one actually save? For example, Picanto owners using mineral oil will only be charged RM85.70, which translates to a 50% discount from pre-campaign prices. ”

You mean after discount to service a Picanto (entry level car) is RM85 hence before discount is RM170 using Mineral Oil. Here I stress ‘normal service’ meaning no major changes save for Engine Oil, Oil Filter, and the normal checks.

Isn’t RM170 like bleeding expensive for a normal service??? Also, the Forte RM200+, I assume is after discount, so b4 is like more than RM400++.A bit too expensive, even for Sythentic Oil since the oil only cost about RM180++ at the most.

    Is there is typo somewhere???

Keep up the good works and improve the after sales services and also NAZA should try lower down the korean car spare parts too.

Forte owners pay only RM203.70 for a service using fully synthetic oil???
This is the price before discount or after? If after discount 50% should be around RM100++

Cause I serviced mine which costs about the same as that also, one without any campaign.
